The people who will actually treat you
Between them: a periodontal board certification, a prosthodontic residency, a dental anesthesiology residency, two ICOI diplomates, and training from the Pikos, Misch and Resnik implant institutes. All three practise in the same building on Windermere Road.
Periodontist & Implant Surgeon
Dr. Curtis Dugas
Board certified in periodontics and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Dugas trained at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and continued at the Misch Implant Institute and the Pikos Institute — two of the more demanding implant programmes in the country.
He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, where he was Chief of Periodontics and an instructor for Advanced General Dentistry residents, and was recognised multiple times as Company Grade Officer of the Year.
His clinical work covers gum disease treatment, implant placement, bone regeneration, full-arch solutions, soft tissue esthetics, accelerated orthodontics and IV sedation. He is currently pursuing board certification in dental sleep medicine, with an emphasis on obstructive sleep apnea.
Before dentistry he was a professional bass player in New Orleans orchestras and bands, and holds voting membership in the Recording Academy — which is a more useful qualification for sitting still and listening carefully than it sounds.

Prosthodontist
Dr. Yoo Jin Chung
A prosthodontist and ICOI Diplomate with advanced specialty training from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she focused on blending art, science and medicine to restore not just smiles but confidence.
Dr. Chung moved from South Korea to the United States at thirteen, originally intending to become a fashion designer. She worked as a chemist first, publishing award-winning research with the US Department of Agriculture, before her father's battle with cancer redirected her toward medicine and then dentistry.
Her recognitions include the George and Eleanore Meade Award, NIH scholarships, and national awards from the ICOI and the Hinman Dental Society. Her clinical focus is implant surgery, full-mouth rehabilitation, advanced esthetic restorations and facial esthetics including BOTOX, dermal fillers and PDO thread lifts.
She plays the violin and has performed in orchestras — the same steadiness the fashion designer was after, applied to a millimetre at a time.

Dentist Anesthesiologist
Dr. Michael Walbom
Dr. Mike grew up watching his father, a dentist, do work that changed people's lives — which is what put him in dentistry in the first place.
What he noticed over time was the group being left behind: patients who genuinely could not be treated conventionally. People with real phobia, people with special needs, people whose gag reflex made a simple filling impossible. Rather than accept that they would go untreated, he trained in dental anesthesiology.
That is now his entire role here. When Dr. Walbom is in the room, he is not assisting with treatment — he is managing your sedation and watching your vital signs from the moment the medication goes in until you are awake, stable and handed to whoever is driving you home.
It is the reason patients drive to Winter Garden from across Orange and Lake counties for appointments they had been putting off for a decade.
