- Who administers it
- Dr. Michael Walbom, a formally trained dentist anesthesiologist. His only responsibility during your appointment is your sedation and your vital signs.
- Options
- Nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and intravenous (IV) sedation — chosen against your anxiety level, your medical history and the length of the appointment.
- Monitoring
- Continuous, for the entire procedure, by a clinician who is not also holding a handpiece.
- Getting home
- Nitrous wears off in about five minutes and you can drive. Oral and IV sedation require someone to drive you home.
- Who it suits
- Dental phobia, a strong gag reflex, sensitive teeth, special needs, long or complex appointments, or simply not wanting to be present for it.
- Included with membership
- All three membership plans include five nitrous sedation visits a year.
